Free Weight Management Training

Free training for healthcare professionals (HCP) and trainees on weight managements for adults is now available in Hull from a local trained GP.

The session aims to increase HCPs’ knowledge of obesity, confidence, and skills to empower them to have brief interventions around weight with patients using a person-centred approach.

The training is in collaboration with the Hull Public Health Team, Yorkshire and Humber Obesity Research Alliance, Office for Health Improvement & Disparities (Y&H Region) and has been peer reviewed by local and national experts. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

The training can be delivered face to face or virtually at a time to suit local needs. Feedback so far has been very positive with 31/40 attendees of a pilot session rating it as ‘extremely useful’.
